30.07.04, Friday ~ Hyped factor: 5/10

sian... today the PE teacher harped on why i kept poning PE and i got 6 make-up PE...
i think only freaky AJ got such thing as make up PE. damn. then the whole class have
to do 6 push up for me. told the teacher i got MC for them, he still said 'i dont care'
haiz... sorry 06 guys! tennis was so sian... we ended up picking balls and learning
how to serve rather than playing a game...

today super unproductive... i spent one period reading newspaper. and another period
trying to start the first tutorial qn on complex number but after the period still
couldnt do. haiz. my maths really sucked. the revision lectures now i having helped
me a lot today... integration...

dunno why today i felt like sharing wif u guys an incident that happened to me... hope
my parents wont get to see this blog. lol. it was kinda stupid and silly of me...

still remember last yr ard this time... 12 august. i got my new phone. N6610. and
plus that 2-year plan... then during the sept holidays which is the first week, i
lost it... lol. only used it for 2 weeks... i totally freaked out that time...
no fone how to survive... then something even unluckier struck.

i was chatting online one day.. feeling bored. then i came across this guy who had
a great hp deal... he was in overseas.. but working in Nokia Phillipines... he sent
his working pass and address of his branch to me... muz say one look they looked so
real. we discussed several details... the fone i was interested in tt time was
N7250i. it was going for 400 bucks. first sign to me: it was strangely cheap. but
he told me that the company gave him the sample fone and he had a better fone so
he wanted to sell it. ok dumb of me to take that. then he went to 'fedex' to settle
the shipping of the fone and sent me a copy of the shipping receipt. it was scanned
-_- stupid of me. then i had to go to the post office to send the money thru
western union i think... i called his 'office' and there was a receptionist to
link to his line... and i actually believed it cos it sounded real. i called the fedex
and they told me i have to wait for a few hours before they are able to check the
invoice.

at the post office counter, i sensed something amiss... on the computer i saw the
guy's name... it was dated in dec... i hesistated. it meant that someone sent him
money last time but it was even more. then dunno wat the hell i was thinking... i
thot it might have been another deal he made earlier? then after i have sent the
money, i called to check wif fedex and they told me to call back a little later cos
they couldnt find the invoice... i started to freak out. i called the post office to
try stopping the money transfer but the manager said it wasnt possible. then she
asked me who i sent the money to. then when i told her the name, she was shocked.

she told me such cases happened and she believed that it was a scam. she asked me to
make a police report. can tell u i almost black out. now not only i lost the phone
i still lose $ and have to clear the 2-yr plan. it was definitely a cherry on top
of the sucky year spent in AJ also.

i kept thinking abt the incident and almost knocked down by the car. cold night.
alone in the bus... kept thinking how stupid i was... had to wait for quite long to
make a police report cos dunno why so many pple in the police station...

haiz... pple can do anything when they are desperate... juz like for me and tt guy.
when he needs money he will do anything... i think he spent a few hours convincing
me... cos i was reluctant at first to believe him. but i think i was more desperate
in getting the phone than him to get money... so ya. but learnt an impt lesson
for 400 bucks... :( lucky its my own money. if its my parents. i wld have let them
down...

P.S: btw fyi, there's no Nokia Phillipines. Nokia doesnt even have a branch in
Philippines... i checked online while chatting wif tt guy but cldnt find and i wondered
why i overlooked this point.
