Yo... today was my first church service (correct term?) juz came back, feeling
alive... kinda a renewed me... erm. lucky my fren called me this morning, almost
missed the shuttle bus... guess which church i went to? lol. It doesnt look like
a typical church i had in mind... the building is in jurong ... very far. so crowded
pple were queuing and gathering like going for a concert. When i looked at the
directory, i was shocked! the auditorium was in B4! omg. and it has 4 levels up.
A building made of titanium. cool. by then u shld have guessed which church rite?
still no? its auditorium is like an indoor stadium. with so high tech equipments.
amazed i must say. but then again its city harvest church wat do u expect?
The service started off with singing great songs... i dunno how but i juz clapped
along. it was really nice that i started singing along. its not those typical hymns
more like pop songs... Had a great time, came to know abt cell group, salvation,
bible studies and way of living. every service got words of wisdom. today was abt
dreams by Rev. Kong Hee. husband of ho yeow sun.
D-esire: desire wat u want to achieve
R-esearch: on wat possibilities that you have
E-nterprise: something abt not afraid to stand up after you fall
A-ssociation: associate with other dreamers
M-astery: muz be armed with a skill
I only felt a bit uneasy during the donation part, but it wasnt compulsory so i
guess i am just trying to get used to it. Pple there were friendly. and frequent
mentioned abt ho yeow sun whom they referred to sun. Pple made confession or rather
reflections abt their lives or overseas trips. Then the service ended with
announcement that sun was pregnant. and i was brought to the front of the stage
as newcomer to receive blessing...
but i was feeling a bit uneasy cos i am a 'born' buddhist so my parents wouldnt
actually allow me to go for services or even be a christian. But i enjoyed
going to the services. haiz... so vexed. its a bad time to worry abt religion now.
especially with piling revision work. I guess so long i am not baptized i'm ok.
Am i allowed to pray to 2 'Gods'? if its so vexed, i rather be a free thinker. haiz.
Ok, now i gtg, got to teach public first aid leh :] hehe.
