ha. cant blame me for being happy... well today is current affairs comp 2004
my second last event. well muz start talking from morning...
today had listening compre... was so much easier than last yr. so happy
kinda idiotic la. ask us to assemble by 9am then the exam starts at 930. rush
down straight away after the paper.
preparation was a bit hectic and scary... forget this forget tt. and cadets nid to
load up presentation, be briefed, and lots of things to do. but all was over very quickly.
then was so happy to see andy and jianfu sir later jorin mdm and joel sir
gracing my event. nvr felt any happier for pple to support u... then when i told
the cadets abt the Q&A part, they were freaking out... lol *evil*
To me, the most exciting part actually is the Q&A part. really test them to think on
thier feet and relate to RC issues, not juz memorising the presentation. its far more
useful than spilling out all the RCK at infoquiz. Was glad that Mr Lau (director of RCY) and
Mr Andrew Ong (Asst director, districts) were impressed with the format of
the competition. They both gave me very useful advice which i can use it to plan
other competitions. but hey tt would be like another 2 yrs later. sadz...
I felt more excited for the cadets during the results. lol.
Champion: Raffles Institution
1st Runner-Up: Cedar Girls'
2nd Runner-Up: Seng Kang Sec
Best Presenter: Kartik Mohan Das, RI
Well... didnt expect Seng Kang to be the dark horse... mmm... 1st ever national award.
well. they are on the way to get EUA silver. lol. Gold ar, muz wait for a few more yrs...
i can foresee that next yr so lots more school joining, after watching this yr's event.
Haiz. hope can come back next yr, sit in and ,maybe repackage the event again. muz
add more excitement. :]
Had dinner at breeks! yeah. nice.
and someone keep teasing abt my left red eye -_- i'm going give him a black one.
ooo.. talking abt my eyes, muz take off my contacts. lol. didnt take em off yesterday.
oops.
