[ 210. should i be happy? ]

before i start today's topic, muz talk abt yesterday. went to sentosa. its quite hot but i still dun find the sun hot enough... oh ya, saw the school beau of NYP at sentosa. every1 was like talking and kept looking. i saw my pw teacher. phew. thot she going to play vball and haf to challenge her but dunno where she went.

then went to play indoor vball, this time better than wed. but got injuries. the ball went straight into my face. wah. hit my left eye. but lucky i expected the ball so i close my eyes. managed to block a few shots. and i getting used to the confusing positioning. asked my friend help to get a vball from overseas, cheaper there. cant wait to lay my hands on it. muz train my wrist power. for writing and vball. lol.

oh well back to today. thot can get back my bio paper but then teacher not here = no paper. can only get it back on wed with maths. i think i can get heart attack. only got back chem today. mmm... wat can i say? i got a C. a few more marks to B :[ very mixed feelings. i'll tell u why.

firstly, my chem had always been around O and F. my mid yr i used one day to revise chem and i got an 'O'. then for this prelim, i used 3 days of my sept holidays to mug for chem. the rest of the days to prepare notes before the holiday tt is. so its a big jump for my grades, i am happy i improved given the time i put in.

BUT... i went into the hall with still some doubts cos i dont haf even time to really understood and memorise what is required. notes i done up were quite detailed but juz short of time to really memorise cos i lost quite some marks at the equations that nids memorising.

then wat upset me was i failed my paper 3... i was so stunned. then i realised not memorising certain things can really kill me. and lost abt 10+ marks for simple mistakes at the start of the questions. u noe these questions if u got it wrong in the beginning, the rest all wrong. my food chem only got 8/20 which i was quite disappointed, well this time i memorise those that in the end didnt come up.
my MCQ was another disappointing paper. got so average results when i expected 30+. haven got time to look at my mistakes. my paper 2 structured was rather ok. it was lots of drawing and i realised i 'brought' the wrong concepts from paper 1 to paper 2. thats why lost marks on both sides. :[

but still got hope. my tutor was pretty happy with my results. so glad i got such a supportive teacher. she knew i didnt work hard enough. she was the one who told me when she marked the papers she knew i know my stuff 'half-half' and didnt memorise enuff. all my weak topics were covered well except simple topics i missed out crucial points. she was confident i can get an A. i think frm now at least i know where i shld head. :]

oh well, tml GP... dun get very gd vibes... :[
today bio prac was a bore. hate microscope... and i sucked at drawings...
gosh now having bad cold...

wah i admire my friend's chem results. She topped in every single paper for chem prelim.

my pathetic results in brackets:
paper 1: 36/40 [28/40]
paper 2: 49/60 [35/60]
paper 3: 73/100 [43/100]
paper 4: 69.5/75 [54/75]
overall: 81/100 [58/100]

well she's a 4-A student, i can only do catching up...

oh ya happy news, SK NA stream got into a band 5 category... at least it got banded... there are schools who didnt get banded... SKSS got academic award for academic value addedness... we were in top 10 value added schools (Special/Express). hope the sch can break into a banded sch for special/express...

oh well, AJC only got best practice award... i almost thot no awards... well got 10K but supporting my CCA with 500 bucks juz seemed too much. oh well, pretty pissed tt they didnt even want to read our proposal. yawnz. So happy for HC on the other hand for school excellence award.
