watched mtv and learnt a new word today 'cameosis' actually no such word in the dictionary. it juz meant using well known people (models, actors or singers) for your videos. and guess who's the best in using cameosis? of course its britney spears. first was madonna, then her toxic video starred 3 guys...

anyway, 2 days of break i am beginning to become like auntie catching up on drama serials. lol. at first juz wanted to accompany my mum but i also got hooked. its not like the local drama serials so draggy and content almost the same, family values and affairs , the list goes on. the drama serial is on cable TV so if u guys got chance can catch it. ch 55.

the show title is 'The Pawnshop No 8'. lol. ok crap. the title at first turned me off. but hey u noe these taiwanese/hongkie series haf bad translation. its not your typical pawnshop.

as usual the story plot can be a bit absurd. but the interesting part is how they portray different human nature(s). For example there was this woman who is super greedy, she wanted to be the wife of a rich man. so when you are in nid or desperate for something, this guy (baddie) will appear and gif u a namecard which only states 'pawnshop no 8' (direct chn translation: di4 ba1 hao4 dang4 bu4) and nothing else. then when u are really desperate there will be people bringing u there.

for that woman, if she wanted to become the wife of a rich guy, she has to pawn something. but not juz your typical jewellery and stuff... she wanted to pawn her 'honesty' but the guy told her it only worth having a chance to meet and know a rich guy. in the end she pawned her 'compassion' also and this guy would help her using some 'magical' ways and creating opportunties for her. but when she lost her 'honesty' and 'compassion' u can really see how a person is like w/o them.

that is actually wat is interesting about the show. and there are also other things to pawn like 'life span', 'beauty', 'green fingers'. the list goes on. but seeing all these human characters u dun even realise the show has gone into 70+ episodes. not like local drama, kinda obvious they drag and sometimes they lose their appeal. but this serial, one person's action can affect another person or people's lives. then the bad guy will create opportunties but at the same time actually creating chances for more people to land into trouble and become desperate and then he can approach them.

nothing is free in this world, you haf to work for it. the serial also showed the lack of determination to solve problems or rely on shortcuts do not pay off. but then there are also gd people helping to stop the 'trade' but then temptation comes in and sometimes we dont heed gd advice. mmm... the serial always left me to ponder wat if the person never took the 'offer' and how his/her life may turn out.
