[ 243. The One With Get Real! ]

oh caught the show on CNA, today's issue was on adultery... i think it is one of the best shows that is screened compared to senseless variety shows like the 8pm one wif jack neo and mark lee... they are still at their 7th season albeit with the overused idea and worn-off novelty still on. gosh. spare me from mark lee's lame jokes and him maundering bad chinese. to think that gurmit was bad enough for hosting the singapore idol, i think he has met his match.

okay back to quality show with diana ser. i think she's a pretty gd host. versatile and effectively bilingual. dun u think so? she has this prima facie look of a host with 'air' of professionalism, blended with sophistication and it lasts!

anyway, they had interviews with different people. with a private investigator, a woman whose divorce ensued after finding out that her husband had an affair, another woman who knew her husband committed adultery but still holding on to the relationship, a 19yo teenager whose dad walked out of the family when he was 16. last but not least a husband who confessed to his wife about his 'CCA'.

strangely how come there is no interview with women who cheated on their spouses. i believe there are a few cases maybe not so common. i think those who have extra marital affairs really undermined the meaning of marriage and the committment involved. Those who walked out of their family are equally egregious. They not only cause psychological unrest to their spouse but also to the children (if they have). I pity those women who had to stay with their husbands, knowing that other women have slept with and under the arms of their husbands. why? all for the sake of the children, to keep the family together, juz for appearance. I see such adultery as a crime committed within the family (social crime. new term?). even though men are fractious and horny creatures, but i just cant stand the lack of self control and not knowing where their faithfulness should lie. Some women even had to have children in order to keep the family together, then these kids are really born in a 'salah' way.

what makes a man think he can afford to have another family especially in Singapore where standard of living is so high. its not like playing monopoly where u can lay out your assets and take more than u can swallow. Those who dun intend to have a mistress but decides to fool around seriously need self-reflection. they may juz catch some diseases and spread to their wives.

Now i know why man is such a dangerous creature when he has only one brain and one penis. cos blood can flow in one way, when it goes down, they do foolish things without thinking. apart from that, if they face stressful lives, they have erectile dysfunction. how true right?

if i can say this, i would definitely stay faithful to my spouse. i want to be a gd father and give my children even more than what my dad has given me. oh ya since some men have money to keep a mistress why not they use the money to 'adopt' a child in poverty?

Well like what diana asked the public, i'll ask the same.

if you found out that your spouse cheated on you, would you forgive him/her? why?

for me, i would. even though it may sound absurd for a guy to face such issues but women now are equally capable :] i believe if a relationship goes wrong, both sides sure have something to work on. even though u may think u haf given a lot and tried to compromise, but perhaps were u too possessive? or were u lacking in being decisive? do u try to have surprises (pleasant ones)? and the idea of since my spouse is having affair, then i shld haf one. this way of getting back at your spouse is simply crazy. get a life.
