ok bedridden the whole day under the effects of chlorpheniramine...
but spent the rest of my time doing GP research on mass media and propaganda. pretty interesting i muz say. and kinda relate to today's episode of Singapore Idol.

dunno how many of u watch it. i guess it kinda waste of your time to watch it unless u got the time to spare. after today's elmination of the two best vocal singers, i guess its not about talent anymore.

beverly out: probably she got that character that pple dun like. pple label her 'bitchy', 'drama queen', 'fake' when she cried at small things during the piano show and laughed and jumped ard during the wildcard show. but no doubt she got one of the best vocals.

jeassea out: well my fave... but i'll try to be objective. at the few forums, pple started bitching about how come she was eliminated and that she dont deserve it. then there are a few narrow minded pple who think that Singapore idol shld be won by a Singaporean. cos jeassea is a canadian but now a PR. ple cant get enuff of such issues juz like jiawei and susilo playing for spore. they juz dun understand why it is called Singapore Idol and not Singaporean Idol. Also, i think they are out to prove that if u dun vote enuff, even faves can get eliminated.

then there are a whole lot who got influenced by the mass media. Propaganda : any technique that attempts to influence the opinions, emotions, attitudes or behaviour of a group, IS at work! MC purposely put jerry (who supposedly is the most hated contestant cos many think he dun deserve to be in but always get high votes to stay in) together with jeassea so that when jerry is 'safe' pple will blame him. the fans of other contestants will vote more next week so that they wont lose out to jerry's fans. Actually there are 8 other contestants who are 'safe' also but they purposely put jerry with jeassea... all for effects... and so many in the forum kept bitching abt jerry getting votes from his christian friends and kept bringing in CHC (city harvest church) which in the first place he's not frm there... haiz...

so many pple targetted at jerry, calling him names and stuff. i think its uncalled for. its the fans. not him.

but imo, no offence,

i mean looking at the rest, hu can carry off with an album? so many lack X factor, not talking abt their voices yet.

taufik/jerry? karaoke album can la
olinda? wld u wan to see her in an album? ez job for the wardrobe! voice is not everything
chris/david? vocals not the strongest, may look gd in album
leandra? dun think her voice will let me hear the songs over and over again.
maia? disco album maybe.
sly? perhaps at least he got something unique.
