..:: 573. The One With Shanghai Week 18 ::..
wow. time passes real fast. my 22 weeks of GIP coming to an end soon. the best parts about this GIP are probably:
- live independently. go wherever i want to and take full responsibility of myself.
- made lots of cool frenz from diverse background
- more bitching buddies
- clothes you never find in singapore and THAT CHEAP
- overnight KTV 5 SGD
- midnight supper deliveries
- DVD 1 SGD
- squeezing and pushing your way in public transport
- travelling!
i realised posting pics here would make the blog lag and slow to load. hence, i would include the link to my pictures =) YAY!
went suzhou and hangzhou twice as jiejiun came to visit me. haha. apologise for not being a gd host. had to work everyday and only free for dinner =(

On Day 3, we heard from the news that one of the gates was burnt down, just after we visited that place. No, we didnt light anything.
feb 20. wanna thank my frenz for celebrating my birthday and planning a surprise. also the greetings i received through phone and fb.

wuxi was alright. nothing really memorable except for the fact we rent costumes to take pictures and that it was a rather big group from NTU GIP

then luoyang was one of the best trips too. i'm glad i went ahead with the offer. for 1k RMB, it was definitely worth it. plus, the frenz i got to know from FUSSA - fudan university singapore - student association.

and if you ever visit hangzhou, dont forget 外婆家 grandma's kitchen.

then its the nanjing trip which the school organised for us for free (or is it in the S$350 we paid?). the trip was kinda ruined by the rain. cam-whoring with umbrellas was challenging.

For labour day holiday, we went to our colleague's hometown, zhenjiang. 镇江. people get confused it with zhejiang, 浙江. It was freaking hot. We also managed to catch Ironman in their cinema for 5SGD, student price.

'everything also must try', that is the quote we live by. Mayday concert ticket for 30SGD, how to give it a miss? I went not knowing many of their songs.

then we went to visit some water village. tongli. kinda commercial but the sex museum was the highlight.

And all the food we ate, celebrations we had, shopping sprees we did, just made me want to stay in shanghai longer.
Just as we enjoy ourselves, i feel china didnt start the year quite as well. jan-feb, china was hit by the worst snow ever. mar - tibet riots were raging. apr - olympic torch incidents. may - bus explosion and now the sichuan earthquake. hope the year will turn better with the commencement of the olympics.
compare with my 1.5K RMB root canal repair, lost of camera, handphone spoilt. my losses are so minor.
4 weeks more and i have to once again lift the baggage up that i left behind in Singapore 18 weeks ago.
