[ 251. The One With Random Thots ]
yesterday i finally learnt not to take technology for granted... have you tried to download msn installation pack? on an average broadband/cable, it takes less than a min... but i had the chance to download using a 56k modem. and it took me an agonising 45 mins. plus using a com less than pentium two, installing what i downloaded was even more excruciating. have you wondered has technology made you a worse person? i know it did to me, i become less patient even though i still can tolerate waiting for pple, but to tolerate slow speed,i would definitely feel edgy.
Also, something struck my mind... how many of us actually store our friends' numbers elsewhere like writing them down? i am the few that relied on technology too much, i was wondering if i lost my phone then what abt my contacts... ya, u may say i can go online and ask the numbers from my friends again, or send an email. but that's technology again. i have cases where i only have numbers of my friends but no idea how to find them online, no email, etc...
Furthermore, how many of us would actually exercise especially when there are no more PE lessons? Sometimes, a simple jog or a trip to gym is hardly on the minds of busy working class and students. I have friends who go gym three times a week to tone their physique. It is also a form of disclipline which i am going to commit after my A lvls. May seem too late but u've got to start somewhere. So guys, remember to exercise despite your busy schdeule. Actually even if you have tons of things to complete, a few hrs of exercise will make you more alert and more productive. Like for me, mon chem paper, sun i had a few hours of volleyball, but i was energised and definitely more alert on mon.
