as i was reading through the super-thick textbooks, i kinda missed the start of secondary school days where i would go to a school bookshop and go home with plastic bags full of textbook. maybe a fetish for new textbook, the smell and the stuff i was going to study.

textbooks back then look so readable and digestible. i can revise whole year work in just a few days.

my friend's little niece just got her psle results and the book that i used to choose my secondary school from has grown so thick! i was stunned by the entry points now. so high. even schools like xinmin now requires 240+ to go in. my time was only 230+... the top girl from st hilda's pri achieved a 294 which was a record in the 17 years since the PSLE system was implemented in 1991.
