..:: 428. The One With Sports Unlimited 13 part 1 ::..

SU 13 is a sports camp organised by NTU Sports Club for freshie like me. Not easy to get in cos they hand-picked people, meaning those who are in are people with style, personality, whatever qualities u can associate with a sporty person. Read: sporty does not only mean you play sports, u need to be 'on', 'steady', 'zi high' (self-high).

4 worlds make the universe, disney, music, sea and toons worlds. me from pumbaa, disney :) lots of pix, beware.

first night we had inter-world games. there was this game 'great wall of china'. damn tiring for everyone. the guys have to interlock and sit close to each other while girls from your own world would stand inside to 'defend'. girls from one other world would 'catfight' their way to break the chain made by the guys. so you can expect crazy girls with their long nails scratching you. they come in swarms, mind u. didnt give face to the girls either, they were so rough. got lots of bruises... i slammed my head on this super-lipid girl with thunderous thigh. had to protect this little guy beside me as he was 'devoured' by this 85kg gal. o_O *gulps*

our 'shi lian pai' 10 neo-print shots?

disney won the game :)
the girls fought hard to defend too. my friend got 2 red card for being too rough! u go gal!

we practically ran everywhere we went. kinda shack. had station games next morning after we slept like 2+ on the first night.

very fun games. intro to the term 'po heng suay'

our group got this amazing chemistry... :)

first game, soccer + captain ball.

100 sec no NG game... we won

some chair game, fun but had to eat chilli padi and tie girl's hair.

had water games the whole afternoon. shack but damn fun.

our Block Leader, Group Leader, Assistant Block Leader :)

another water game... had a lot of stations but cant load everything up :)

night time! exciting... we went old changi hospital on chu yi! seventh month leh. play some detective stories... go ard 'stations' watch people act snippets and piece them together to solve crime. creepy man... the girls cried! thats how good the actors were...

next day we had x-terrain. trekking and biking at bukit timah area. aiya everything is fun la :) we did well for the x-terrain.

guys getting to know girls from other group.

tried rock climbing, assembly of bike, station games

nice view

night station games around the campus. this one we felt sian but in the end did very well. lol. we 'zi high' cheer like mad :)

cute right? our group identity.

next day, day 4. went to pasir ris park for the whole day. morning had 6km canoeing session. then tried windsurfing, sailing, banana boat, ski... shiok.

ok... end of part 1... we had night cycling from east coast park to NTU. and more in next entry with pix!

..:: 427. The One With Sports Camp ::..

had an orientation camp meeting. and my group kinda cool. with all the 85 guys and 87 girls. o_O u know what i mean. i am 1986. :)

intro ourselves and played games and did cheers... as expected the freshies gave very lukewarm response. but well, we will get pretty hyped up during camp.

pic with my group, pumba frm lion king? weird expression cos they suddenly say dun smile...

cant wait to go for the camp. heard we will sleep less than 3 hrs everyday. or maybe not sleep. aiya how can people tahan for 7 days? time to pack my bag...

before the sky garden meeting, had a lunch appointment with my sis and her friend, lionel. lol. guys keep talking abt army and left my poor sis listening to us. that's wat happen when you have 2 enthu army guys.

at swensen

at n.y.d.c - my sis's cake solid gold

brownies for the gentlemen

today went for dance in nus. wah. the tech (technique) class damn tiring. no wonder dancers have good abs (for turning), legs, hips, etc. we practically worked out every part of our bodies. just brushing up on turning and posture techniques can take up to 3 hrs plus. with no ballet background, i practically looked weird in the more-jazz class. my legs are gone man, havent had such technical training since jc.

now sat i join my friends for hip-hop training and sun with nus dance ensemble for other kinds of exposure.

random thots...

have you read the new paper today. a man married a thai twin. *gulps* 3-some? or timetable-style?

what's going on with those chinese mum (from china, duh)? coming to singapore to work and by getting a social visit pass by 'faking' a relationship with a local child. china no job meh? thought cheap labour?

ok guys. see you after 30 july. hopefully it will be a sunny week.

..:: 425. The One With PM Dialogue Session ::..

from an email to the director of red cross...

Dear Mr Lau,

Have received an invitation letter from National Youth Council to invite us
to nominate 2 suitable youths for a dialogue session with the Prime
Minister on 23 Sept 2006.

Objective
- To provide opportunities for young Singapreans to share their views with
the PM.

Criteria
- Singapore citizen aged 17-30
- Keen interest in public policy, current affairs or community development
- Active volunteer or staff holding position of leadership/responsibility
- Have not participated in previous PM's dialogues sessions

and got nominated with very mixed feelings...

firstly, will it be broadcast on tv?

secondly, what would the crowd be? just a few, meaning everyone would get to talk and talk sense!

thirdly, i'm not very comfortable with handling current affairs though i read newspapers everyday cos i am a very subjective person...

i hope it's not like members of the floor throw questions for us to discuss. though it's once-in-a-lifetime experience, i mean talking to PM! *gulps*

-----------------------------------------------

got this from one of the book... why men marry bitches.

Men do not judge you by how much money you have.
They notice how you budget what you do have.

The more rational and calm you are, the more emotional he is

There's nothing more prized to a man than something he has to wait for, work for or struggle a bit to get.

The lesser you mention about commitment, the closer you are to one.

When you are scantily dressed, men are not reminded how great you look naked but immediately think of how many men you slept with.

mmm...interesting. quite true...

watched the dvd i bought from ebay. intriguing... shall list some quotes when i am free.

meanwhile enjoy the superman pics... or rather superwoman.

so you think you can dance -

..:: 422. The One With NTU Admin ::..

well... for the past few days ever since i came back from brunei, i have been frantically trying to contact relevant people regarding my NBS orientation camp. farking they missed out on sending me the application form. and the nbs website is not updated. the least they could do is to put the application form online so i can download and send. I was freaking pissed to know from my friend that the application has closed and they are settling the admin stuff like dividing people into groups.

wtf? missed a chance to make frenz meaning i will be quite a loner and loser in the first day. what's worse, the sports orientation camp will confirm our participation next week. what a lousy system. what if they tell me that i am not selected? then i will go camp-less. there are so many camps happening in the same period so i can only place my bet on one. if rejected, happy wondering ghost in ntu, so much for the seventh month.

pray hard i better get in... if not i have to beg to go into either the cultural activities club one or the student union.

why am i so hard up of going to orientation camp? lol. i'm a social person, ok?

oh ya planning to get membership for planet fitness... any1 gym buddy? think it's 59 per mth or 800 for 13 mths. need to check it out.

any1 GNC member? need to get supplements.

..:: 421. The One With Project Runway ::..

first time watching the whole episode of project runway. gd show thumbs up. pretty amazed by how they could transform their inspiration from a photograph to something that have to been worn. lots of bitching and backstabbing but hey what's reality show without that. singapore should make our own reality shows to showcase our ugly sides. so we can watch tv and point 'hey that's like me'.

next week they using plants to make clothes. interesting.

flipped through the newspaper and realised... on the 15th there is some kind of play titled asian superstar at expo hall 3 at 4pm. jasmine trias of american idol 4 will be there so those who like her can drop by. free admission.

..:: 420. The One With Chalet ::..

july 10. had a platoon chalet at aranda. my platoon is deinitely an entertaining one with a few clowns. made the 3-day stay enjoyable.

first night we had potluck dinner. my guys can really cook. only a few with the help of their maids. lol

two of my pioneer #1, really gd. definitely gd frenz to have too

how can a chalet of all men not have any brokeback moments...

of the arcade...

and the xbox...

had a great bbq to celebrate my men going-to-ord. drank finish the bottle of jack daniel o_O

anyway got 2 farking things i wanna shout out.

firstly after the chalet, i took a long ride all the way to mount faber safra to sign up for my dj course and when i reached there i saw a notice on the glass door...

'in order to perserve decorum, the following dress code is to be adhered to... no slippers...'

i cant be bothered to read on cos i'm in my damn casual wear. the place farking high class, i had to go home instead.

next i went for a facial appointment with bioskin before the chalet. farking expensive. 58 bucks was the treatment and they also farking smart, price advertised not inclusive of gst. and i being nice guy gave in to a gal's persuasion to buy one of their facial products. really feel bad cos she keeps talking and introducing stuff of which none interests me. i feel that the package was too steep. 1850 bucks for 12 sessions o_O

and when i say i'll think about it (politically correct ans), she shot back, 'oh, actually it's not just facial, it's a treatment for your face, it's really up to you whether you want to do something about your face.'

wah what a byatch.

got this 10ml of antiseptic lotion cos it's the cheapest. 38 bucks! again w/o gst yet.

oh btw the above pictures were taken using my new dopod 818pro :)

..:: 419. The One With Bonus ::..

actually was feeling tired to even blog, but just happen to surf the ns.sg to check out my pay slip, i was pleasantly surprised. july is bonus month! first time i hit 3k :) wow perks of being in saf.

fri went on course: leadership style that yields results.

it was an interesting course, knew a few new frenz in the army, ladies inclusive.

just heard that i may need to re-do my pc tour. sucks. hopefully not.

went for red cross meeting... which lasted 3 hrs.

went to watch re-cycle the film by pang brothers. mmm... it was intriguing as a whole. some may see the movie as being absurd but i feel that they carry strong messages about 'abandon'- whether you commit suicide (self-abandon), abortion (it's obvious, duh), etc. At least it's better than the eye 10 -_-

lots of gadgets that caught my attention. wanna get a pda. but freaking ex. like HP one, it's 1k.

palm tx which is abt 500+ after discount.

this is creative new product. all-in-one for ~350. got camera, mp3 player, video recorder, etc

of course i would love a wireless headphones :)

btw do you know christina aguilera has vocals of 4 octaves? but my diva mariah has even wider range :)

i so in love with mariah's fly like a bird. listen to her range man.
cassie's me and you catchy too...
not forgetting, janet jackson's call on me
